Mombasa City Tour
tour picks out some of the highlights of the colourful
city of Mombasa including the bustling fruit and vegetable market. The Old
Town and Port, Fort Jesus , the famous Elephant Tusks in Moi
Avenue and Akamba Wood Carvers Centre.
The excursion takes you to Likoni ferry then driving along
the beach via Mama Ngina drive. As you drive you will pass by
the state house and the treasury square. The famous ivory tusk
at Moi Avenue will also be one of the stops. Another stop will
be made at a Hindu chapel before heading to the Akamba Wood
Carving Village. Winding the tour at the Old town and the old
fortress - Fort Jesus.
Haller Park (formerly Bamburi Nature
Park ) Excursion
Formerly known as Bamburi Nature Trail, Haller Park is a
unique ecological restored quarry situated on the North Coast of
Mombasa along the Mombasa Malindi road, next
the Bamburi Cement factory.
Visitors have the unique opportunity of close up contact with
the variety of animal species, through the educational guided
tours tailored to their requirement. Animals and birds, which
are not so easily seen, inhabit the fenced area. Each has a
function in Nature Trail's ecosystem, and almost all of them
utilize a different feeding niche. The mammal species seen are
hippos, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, waterbucks, elands and Oryx.
The bushbuck, suni and duiker are not easily seen as tend to
scamper away upon hearing any sounds. Enjoy the opportunity of
feeding the Rothschild giraffes at the feeding platform every
day at 11.00am and 3.00pm.
Half Day Mamba Village Tour
Village is situated in Nyali, is East Africa’s largest crocodile
farm. The Crocodile Farm Displays the age, weight and length of
crocodiles. You will also see hatchlings to 5 meter long "big
daddy" - the man eating monster, sun basking along the tropical
garden trail. At five pm. daily, the crocodiles are fed and you
can see them jump high in the air to snap the meat. Camel
Riding, Horse Riding & Mamba Restaurant overlooking the
crocodile pond, a unique "a la carte" restaurant serves game
meat like crocodile and ostrich. They also have Beautiful
collection of plants and flowers specializing in orchids and
aquatic flora. On display are carnivorous species, marine
aquarium and snakes.
Ngomongo (Cultural) Village Tour
Drive to the Ngomongo Village ', a miniature reflection of
tribal community groundings. Sample their life styles and
culture in the different tribal huts and catch a real
glimpse of what may have been before civilization set in'.

have been created in this theme village. Watch or participate in
the traditional food preparation, sample the various local brews
and marvel or participate in the tribal dances.
Sampling the setting of 11 colouful Kenyan tribes such as the
Mkamba - woodcarvers, Luo - fisherman, Rendile, El Molo, Masai
and others in their different traditional tribal huts set up in
this themed village, portraying their ancestors. Return to your
hotel late afternoon.
Mombasa By Night
and Dinner in the Castle
Take an evening excursion aboard a traditional dhow to savour
the sights and sounds of Mombasa 's historical city from water.

Old Town to the 400 year old fortress of Fort Jesus. Built by
the Portuguese as a stronghold at the entrance to the harbour,
the ancient fort is a stunning example of 16th century military
architecture that has survived centuries of attack and conquest.
Here you will be welcomed by Portuguese and Arab fire-bearers
before witnessing a dazzling, world class, sound and light show
that is followed by a sumptuous five course dinner. Served
alfresco within the ramparts of the Fort, this is a truly
unforgettable dining experience. Our driver will then return you back to your hotel.
Full Day Wasini Dolphin Dhow Trip
Early morning departure from hotel. The scenic route takes
you through lush coconut and cashewnut plantations and the
colourful villages of the Digo people.
On arrival at Shimoni Jetty, board a motorized glass bottomed
Lamu dhow (boat) which will sail you through an enchanting
seascape of islands to the richest marine park in Kenya (Kisite).
Being escorted by Dolphin experts makes this more that a dhow
trip. Our knowledge makes a meeting with the friendly local
Dolphins a real probability. It is in their natural Coral garden
where we will snorkel and marvel at the prolific Marine life. A
traditional sumptuous Sea food lunch will be served on board to
ensure maximum time for Dolphin spotting. The island provides
good vantage points overlooking the Dolphin's play grounds and
leisurely sailing provides tranquil silence to listen out for
Dolphin whistles blowing off the sea. Later you are transferred
to Shimoni jetty for your transfer back to the hotel.
